14 October 2010- Batik is an ancient method of decorating a
fabric by covering parts of it with a wax coat and then dyeing the cloth.
The areas that were waxed keep their original color while the rest of the
fabric has the dyeing color. So, when the wax is removed, you see a contrast
between the dyed portion and the undyed potion in the fabric which gives a
